Up cycling Stained glass wastage

Colouredfragments

How can the scraps of one project be utilised to develop new products that generate revenue for the company?

Each year Modern Bazar generates approx 400kgs of stained glass wastage. These are pieces of glass in different shapes and sizes that are sold off to scrap merchants for little money.

I used this to develop a range of products that are not only up cycled but also generate revenue by expanding the company’s product offerings.

The concept behind both these products was to emphasise the colour interaction. Stained glass panels were layered to create an interesting play of colours. Layering colours and textured panels were the main parameters to bring these products to life.
